Maynooth Campus Accommodation
Online booking
We look forward to welcoming you this August to Maynooth.
Ample single ensuite accommodation is available on North Campus and the North Campus reservation booking system is accepting bookings via the link provided below.
South Campus ensuite accommodation (a limited quantity) is full.
North Campus
North Campus accommodation, in a modern purpose-built building with lift access, includes the Courtyard and River Apartments. These offer reasonably priced single ensuite accommodation.
The apartments each consist of 5 single, lockable, ensuite rooms along a corridor leading to a shared kitchen and dining area suitable for self-catering. Each room has a small, tiled shower/toilet where the shower is curtained off and level with the floor. The Courtyard apartments are unsuitable for wheelchair users but will be suitable for people with mildly limited mobility.
Some of the River Apartments are suitable for wheelchair users. Please email MUEvents@mu.ie should you require a wheelchair accessible bedroom as there is limited availability.
There are disabled parking spaces outside the Reception building. Other parking on North Campus is nearby. All campus parking is free of charge outside of term time.
It is a 5- to 7-minute level and traffic-free walk from the North Campus accommodation to the TSI building where the conference sessions are taking place.
Breakfast is not included but you have the option of self-catering, or you can pre-purchase breakfast at the Pugin Hall refectory on South Campus. To do this, please email reception@spcm.ie and settle payment directly prior to arrival. A continental breakfast in Pugin Hall costs €10.40. Once you have booked your breakfast your name will be on a list in Pugin Hall, so you just give your name to the catering staff when you go there to eat.
As the rooms are normally used by students, they are furnished with the basics only. Kettle, toaster, pans, glassware, plates, cutlery, washing-up liquid, and dishcloths are provided in the shared kitchen diner. There are no tea making trays in the bedrooms. An initial supply of tea and coffee will be provided on arrival however this will not be replenished throughout the stay.
Linen, towels and toilet paper are provided in each ensuite bedroom, but no hairdryers or toiletries - bring your own shampoo, soap, shower gel etc, and take it home with you afterwards, in the interests of sustainability.
Housekeeping will come in each day and replenish the toilet paper and every third day they will change the towels. Coat hangers are provided. Hairdryers are not available to borrow from Reception. If bringing your own, note that electric supply in Ireland is 240V using UK-style plugs. If you need adaptors for your electrical items these can be purchased at Dunnes Stores which is a short walk from the campus.
The campus is brightly lit at night so you may wish to bring an overnight eye mask to help you sleep.
Four of the conference team will be staying in Birch 1 apartment and may be able to assist you if you need help.

South Campus

South Campus accommodation was originally constructed for students in the 19th C. There are lifts in some buildings. There is a doorstep at the entrance to buildings. Most rooms have shared bathroom facilities. A limited number have an ensuite shower, with a shower tray which is a few centimetres in height that needs to be stepped into. Some ensuite rooms have a single and a double bed.
Rooms with shared bathroom facilities have hand basins. Soap dispensers are provided in sinks and showers but you may prefer to bring your own shampoo, shower gel etc. Please take these items home with you in the interests of sustainability.
Rooms have tea and coffee making trays but do not have hairdryers. Hairdryers can be borrowed from Reception. If bringing your own from overseas, you need a UK-style plug and the appliance has to be capable of running on 240V.
The campus is brightly lit at night so you may wish to bring an overnight eye mask to help you sleep.
Breakfast is not automatically included but can be pre-booked, pre-purchased at South Campus reception when you check in, or purchased at the Pugin Hall refectory. If pre-booked you go down to the refectory and your name will be on their list. A continental breakfast in Pugin Hall costs €10.40.
Campus reception is open from 8.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. If you will be arriving any later than that you will be able to collect your key from Security at their Lodge just inside the South Campus gates. The Lodge is just to the right when entering the gates.
If a member of Security is not present at the Lodge, then they may be out on patrol but can be contacted by phone. Except in extenuating circumstances guests will not be granted access after 01.00 a.m.
Parking on South Campus is available but may be less convenient to the accommodation compared to North Campus. All campus parking is free of charge outside of term time.
To get to the TSI Building from the South Campus requires a 5–10-minute walk on the campus with a very quiet road to cross. Just before you get to the road, there is a set of steps up, in parallel with an easy ramp.
