Maynooth Campus Accommodation Options

North Campus

North Campus accommodation, in a modern purpose-built building with lift access, includes the Courtyard and River Apartments. These offer reasonably priced single ensuite accommodation.

The apartments each consist of 5 single, lockable, ensuite rooms along a corridor leading to a shared kitchen and dining area suitable for self-catering. Each room has a small, tiled shower/toilet where the shower is curtained off and level with the floor. The apartments are unsuitable for wheelchair users but will be suitable for people with mildly limited mobility.

Some of the River Apartments are suitable for wheelchair users and are in the same block. Please email MUEvents@mu.ie should you require a wheelchair accessible bedroom as there is limited availability.

There are disabled parking spaces outside the Reception building. Other parking on North Campus is nearby. All campus parking is free of charge outside of term time.

It is a 5–7-minute level walk from the North Campus accommodation to the TSI building where the conference sessions are taking place.

Breakfast is not included but you have the option of self-catering, or you can pre-purchase breakfast at the Pugin Hall refectory on South Campus. To do this, please email reception@spcm.ie and settle payment directly prior to arrival. A continental breakfast in Pugin Hall will cost €10.40 .

The virtual tour of the North Campus accommodation is linked here: https://tours.maynoothuniversity.ie/student-residences/

Online booking for North Campus accommodation can be made using your conference voucher code at https://booking.maynoothcampus.com The code is for the dates 20-24th August 2026 and should work for adjacent dates. It will show you accommodation currently being held for conference delegates to book. If you do not use the voucher code then you may see any other accommodation available that is not held for the conference and not at the conference rate.

If you wish to extend your stay and the voucher code does not work with your dates, then you will need to contact the campus administrator directly to request this.

Maynooth Campus cannot refund any costs after a booking has been completed.

You can enquire about the North Campus accommodation by email to Katja Nolan in the MU Events Office at: muevents@mu.ie . North Campus administration is separate from South Campus (see below).

Due to recent reconfiguration, North Campus and South Campus are now run by separate organisations. Online booking cannot be displayed for both at the same time. We expect this to be rectified in January 2026.

Online booking has been displayed so far for North Campus only. It will switch in early December 2025 to the limited number of ensuite rooms on South Campus. From that point until online booking opens for North Campus, anyone wishing to reserve one of the North Campus ensuite single rooms should email muevents@mu.ie . They will receive an email acknowledgement from the campus administrator which will be followed by a payment link when online booking is set up again.

South Campus rooms that are not ensuite but share bathroom facilities (on average 4 cubicles per bathroom, shared between 14 rooms) will be held until all the ensuite rooms are booked. They are mostly twin rooms. If you would like to reserve one of those rooms please email reception@spcm.ie

South Campus

South Campus accommodation was originally constructed for students in the 19th C. There are lifts in some buildings. There is a doorstep at the entrance to buildings. Most rooms have shared bathroom facilities. A limited number have an ensuite shower, with a shower tray which is a few centimetres in height that needs to be stepped into. Some ensuite rooms have a single and a double bed. If you are seeking twin occupancy, please email reception@spcm.ie when making your booking.

Breakfast is not included but can be purchased at the Pugin Hall refectory. A continental breakfast in Pugin Hall will cost €10.40.

Parking on South Campus is available but may be less convenient to the accommodation compared to North Campus. All campus parking is free of charge outside of term time.

To get to the TSI Building from the South Campus requires a 5–10-minute walk on the campus with a very quiet road to cross. Just before you get to the road, there is a set of steps up, in parallel with an easy ramp.
